Shannon and I play a game every morning seeing who can be the first person to text the other and say “I love you”. Whoever wins gets bragging rights for the day.

(Despite what Shannon says, I’m totally winning.)

Overall, the text isn’t that big of a deal. But being playful and fun with each other is.

In marriage, it’s the little things matter most.

Sending a text says, “Even when you’re not around I’m thinking about you because you’re important to me.”
